Running 125+ Miles thru Wichita to Fight Human Trafficking

I’ve had some pretty ridiculous ideas over the years… but this one might take the cake.

In just a few weeks, Tony and I are about to attempt what may be the craziest challenge I’ve ever taken on. We’re going to run to every single Keeper of the Plains statue in Wichita. All 90 of them.

By the time it’s over, we’ll have covered at least 125 miles, finishing by running from the iconic Keeper of the Plains to the starting line of the Race 4 Freedom 5K.

Why?

Because this challenge isn’t really about running.

It’s about shining a light on the incredible work being done by ICT S.O.S., an organization that provides immediate support, advocacy, and resources for victims of human trafficking while educating our community and helping prevent human trafficking before it starts.

If we can turn a crazy running idea into more awareness, more conversations, and more support for their mission, every mile will be worth it.

If you’d like to be part of the challenge, there are several ways you can help:

• Make a donation or pledge per mile.

• Share this post to help spread the word.

• Join us for a section of the route.

• Come celebrate with us at the Race 4 Freedom 5K as we cross the finish line after visiting all 90 Keepers.

We’ll be sharing route updates, photos, and opportunities for anyone who wants to jump in for a few miles along the way. Let’s see if we can turn 125 miles into something that makes a real difference for our city.
