Reflections on an award
We were honored to receive “Brand Ambassador Award” from iCRYO ten nights ago at Elevate in Houston, TX. I wanted to put some thought into how to write this post, thus the delay. I spent hours reflecting on this award during my 31 mile run a few nights ago. Not for receiving the award, but the journey to the reward. I was overcome with thankfulness, thinking back to where I was at exactly 4 years prior. 4 years ago I was in the absolute worst pain from injuries in the car accident 5 years ago. My rehab had regressed over this time and and I was not in a good place mentally. These were some dark times. The pain had no off switch and my anxiety was higher than normal because I wasn’t working out much. Fast forward 4 years and I am running a business helping others with pain management relief using exactly what I used to for my recovery. I’ve been humbled and blown away by the amount of folks who have thanked me for opening iCRYO. Every week I am hearing phrases like “this changed my life”, “I stopped getting monthly injections”, “I’m back in the gym again”, “I’ve lost 40 pounds” and so on.
This has never been just a business venture for me. I remember one day in late 2018, I prayed for healing. Shortly after, I not only believed I’d make a full recovery, but that I would use my experience as an opportunity to help others. I didn’t know what it would be at the time and then things kept falling into place. Of course, this was God’s plan. Helping others in the “health and wellness” space has become my passion and I believe iCRYO has the absolute best services for everyone. I told everyone I could about cryotherapy long before it was on my radar as business venture. I was amazed and thankful for how much it helped me, yet very few people knew about it. It’s been my goal to change that. It’s been my goal to play a part in increasing the overall wellness of the Wichita community. We’ve got a long way to go, but I have an AMAZING team that I must give credit to our success. Our guests love our staff and I’m blessed to have them on our team. Our team strives daily to put smiles on the faces of the guests who walk in the door.
I’m honored that Rachel and I were recognized as Brand Ambassadors. I eat, breathe, and live iCRYO. It’s not hard to rep a “Brand” when it aligns with purpose. We have a purpose…. and I’m gonna tell everyone about it. I’d like to thank Kyle W. Jones and William Jones Jr. for recognizing us with this award.
