Announcement: iCRYO is Coming to Wichita!
My wife and I are excited to announce that we have become franchise owners of an iCRYO Wellness and Recovery center, opening later this year in West Wichita. Cryotherapy played a critical part in my injury recovery after 2018’s car accident. I’ll release more details at a later time…
Those are the Cliff’s Notes.… Below is the story, behind the story:
Okay, I’ve still got you. Thanks.
My path to recovery from the car accident injuries has involved three key elements: increasing core strength/range of motion, DDP Yoga and Cryotherapy. I fell in love with the benefits of cryotherapy right away. My pain levels would decrease, allowing me to use fitness to rebuild my body.
My first cryotherapy experience was almost three years ago while in rough shape and willing to try anything. As I benefitted from it, I also discovered that very few people I knew were familiar with cryo. The few that knew of cryotherapy were too afraid to try it. “There’s no way I would stand half naked in something -160 degrees” was the general response. After 10 minutes of explaining, most people I’ve talked to become open minded to trying it. I’ve recommended this product to hundreds of people over the last few years.
As my injuries improved, I began to see the value of cryotherapy beyond injury recovery. As we get older, we all experience aches and pain. I have fewer aches and pains today than I did before the accident. I’ve continued to use cryo as modality for post-workout recovery. I’m once again running 30+ miles every week and look forward to recovery sessions in the chamber. The cold experience gives me both energy and mood boosts each session.
Recovering from 2018’s car accident has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life. I made the decision to not let it bring me down years ago; but instead, bring something positive out of it. My blog was birthed from that decision as well as my current path to become a DDP Yoga instructor.
The Bible has many versus about struggle. Every human is guaranteed to experience many storms in life. God allows struggle into our lives to become growth opportunities. I’m more thankful for the journey than I am the actual recovery as it led to some of my life’s greatest growth moments. I believe God has used the accident to create a new path for me and Rachel……
After using cryotherapy for over a year, I had a random thought: what if I opened and operated our own cryotherapy center? I love this product and I’ve told at least 100 people about it…but what if I could tell thousands? Tens of thousands? How many people can I help? Wait, this could help thousands of people who need cryotherapy. Daily pain is difficult to live with, but cryotherapy helped eliminate my pain without pills. And most people who need cryotherapy have likely never heard of it.
By opening iCRYO in Wichita, we will help people reduce their pain and resume their normal, daily lives. Cryotherapy is helpful for many other ailments, including eczema and rheumatoid arthritis. We’ll also help marathoners, weightlifters and other athletes train hard to accomplish their goals while reducing recovery time. We want all of Wichita to experience cryotherapy because we believe there are benefits for everyone. I would not be able to run as far and frequent as I do without cryotherapy. If cryo can help me do that despite all my injuries, imagine what it can do for you?
We are so excited for this next journey in our lives. We are blessed to take the pain of the car accident and channel it into helping others. In addition to whole body cryotherapy, we’ll also offer IV infusions, cryo facials, body sculpting, compression therapy, infrared sauna and vitamin boosters. Our first iCRYO location will be located in Northwest Wichita. More info to come soon!
