Beating Allergies

Like so many others, I’ve had problems with allergies over the years.  Allergies are compounded for those of us living surrounded by the Great Plains in this part of the country.  Spring and falls are usually filled with sore throats, coughing and sneezing.  My allergies were so bad ] I’d feel sick for weeks at a time.  I would occasionally break out in hives so bad I’d call off from work.  I took Nasonex and Allegra for over a decade and at one point, my allergist had me on 4 concurrent medications.

I didn’t have allergy problems much as a child; in fact, I didn’t seek medical treatment until my early 20s.  My first medication was not prescribed until I was over 200 pounds.  I quit taking my medications shortly after losing 67 pounds (of the eventual 92).  No more doctors’ appointments, no more remembering to take medications, no more co-pays.  They just went away.  I’m not exactly sure why…was it the diet or was it the fitness?   Or both?  Fatty Matty was a coughing, sneezing, hacking mess but no more!

Ultimately, I’ve saved thousands of dollars since 2012 by avoiding doctors’ appointments and prescription co-pays.  More important, I feel much better.  I don’t feel it’s a coincidence.  Replacing processed and high sugar foods with fruits and vegetables has been proven to reduce inflammation…and in my case, reduce allergies too!

Go get it.
