DDP Yoga is Legit; I’m Rebuilding my Body

At some point, you have likely seen the video of the injured and overweight, injured veteran who transformed his life with DDP Yoga.  If you don’t recall, click here.  For those of you who have never heard of him, Diamond Dallas Page is a former professional wrestler.  I first discovered DDP Yoga after already losing most of my weight and becoming more fit.  I was in the middle of training for a marathon and wanted to mix on some core exercises on my off/rest days.  Diamond Dallas Page had recently appeared on the Talk is Jericho podcast and promoted his product. I decided to order the DVD package from him.  During the checkout process, I answered a question around the reason for trying DDP Yoga.  I wasn’t looking to lose more weight and did not have a lingering injury.  I can’t recall exactly how I answered that question at checkout, but I vaguely remember mentioning that I was a marathoner looking to increase core strength.  I clicked a few boxes, entered some info and then the purchase was done.

Me and Diamond Dallas Page in 2016

My cell phone rang with a blocked number shortly after confirming my purchase.  I assumed it was a phone spam call and did not answer.  There was a major sigh of disappointment when I checked my voice mail as the message was not phone spam.  Diamond Dallas Page called me directly.  Here is his voice mail message:

How cool!  Talk about backing up your product—this guy goes above and beyond to call his customers.  I would mix DDP Yoga into my regular workout regimen after that point.  DDPY was frequently back-burnered to running, which was my true love.  I did notice the benefits to DDP Yoga right away.  My favorite workout was “Standup”, which I’d fit in a few times a week.

I attended WrestleMania 34 in Dallas, TX, among many festivities in town that weekend.  I’m not afraid to admit that I have been a wrestling fan since the mid-80s when Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Roddy Piper and Randy “Macho Man” Savage were all in their primes.  I met a lot of my childhood heroes that weekend and have a ton of pictures to relieve my memories.  I was most excited that weekend to meet Dallas Page.  I first met him at a fan expo called “WrestleCon” where I told him the story about the missed phone call.  Dallas was do genuine and nice.  There were hundreds of people in line behind me, but the guy took his time to talk to me and Rachel.  He signed an 8×10 for me and wrote “Answer your phone” underneath his autograph.

Meeting Diamond Dallas Page at WrestleCon 2016

I attended a group DDP Yoga session hosted by DDP just two days after meeting him.  He spoke to everyone in the whole room with a meet and greet before the workout began.  He took pictures with and had a individual conversations.  He spoke for 20-30 minutes prior to the workout about owning your life.

I geek out every time DDP talks because I knew what he was saying was legit.  I wasn’t in bad shape before I started, but I met people at the workout who had lost 100-200 pounds on his program.  It is legit.  He isn’t slinging DVDs or a streaming service for money; no sir, he is changing people’s lives.  He is helping people to channel their motivation towards owning their life and getting in shape.  I didn’t see a guy who owned a successful workout plan; I saw a guy who genuinely cares about people.  He wants everyone everyone to reach their true potential and block the negative voices in the head.  It’s not a gimmick, the guy is one of the most genuine guys I have ever met in my life.

Fast forward to January, 2018 and BAM, I am banged up in that car wreck.  I could’t do much for months, but quickly wanted to start doing DDP Yoga.  I asked my chiropractor, but he would not clear me for it at the time.  I DM’d DDP directly on Wrestlemania weekend 2018.  He told me to listen to my doctor.  The doctor would clear me months later.

I slowly started working in DDP Yoga around the time I started my appointments with my physical therapist.  Nearly 1/3 of the movements that my PT taught me were similar or exactly the same as moves in several DDP Yoga workout routines.  I started noticing that my DDP Yoga was improving through coaching from my PT on rehab movements.  I was still in a lot of pain during my first 9 months of DDP Yoga and took things slow.

I was told in May 2019 that I had achieved maximum medical improvement.  I was scared about surgery and more frightened that I learned I had permanent injuries.  DDP Yoga has been part of my daily routine at least 4 days per week since then.  My core strength has never been better.  My back has not felt better since the injury.  I am on the road to recovery, and this plan is one of the most critical components to it.

You should check this out right now if you need to lose weight, need core strength, or have injuries lingering around.  You should also check it out if you don’t have a need for it.  The workouts are challenging, but push you to a new level of core strength and flexibility that you will not find elsewhere.  I’m DDP Yoga for life now.
