Saturdays = no work = long workouts. I look forward to Saturday morning all week long. Today is day 114 of my consecutive workout streak. Started the morning with DDP Yoga Standup.
The next part of my workout was a 27 minute core workout that involved resistance cables + 50 squats +100 crunches + 100 sit-ups.
Afterwards, I took off for a 10 mile run throughout South Wichita. Ran on a lot of streets I’ve never ran on before. Fun times. Afterwards, I did some rehab work/stretching for 19 minutes.
As I write this, I’m enjoying the afternoon in the hot tub while I waiting for a brisket to finish cooking. 180 minute workouts require extra protein intake! Very thankful that my injury recovery is is continuing to progress. The car accident is so far away in my rear view mirror.
I’m thankful for all of the doctors and especially my PT Courtney Morse who played a huge part into getting me back into the gym to rebuild my body. I’m thankful that I discovered DDP Yoga, a huge gamechanger. And finally, trying out Cryotherapy was one of my best decisions ever. I’ve made this comeback without surgery or pain pills. I’ve been able to manage through the pain beyond what someone in my condition should be capable of doing. All of this work will payoff when I complete my 1,000 day workout streak while training for a Boston Marathon qualification. Go get it!
