I’ve been nominated for “Visionary of the Year” by Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
I have been nominated for Visionary of the Year by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. 12 nominees including myself will compete in a fundraising campaign to support LLS. In order to draw support and awareness, I am planning my craziest running challenge ever: run 11 marathons in 11 weeks for a total of 297.8 miles. I will complete my first marathon on March 19 in White Sands, NM and my final marathon in Morrison, CO on June 3. Two of the races will by 50Ks, requiring me to run 5 additional miles beyond the traditional 26.2 marathon. I wasn’t able to find a sanctioned marathon during 3 weeks of the campaign, so I am going to complete an unsanctioned marathon during those weekends in Wichita. (Run with me!) We will begin accepting donations on March 20 and I hope that you can support this cause.
I have some volunteer opportunities as well if you can help. Here are the roles I need to fill:
-Social Media Coordinator
-Campaign Manager
-Sponsorship/Donation Coordinator
-Events Planner
-Street Team
You can also help by following the Facebook page “Matt Runs for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society” and by liking and sharing my posts during this camping. Every like and share widens the support audience. Please let me know if you would like to volunteer.
Thanks for all your support,
Matt
